The NFB of Dane County is an affiliate of the NFB of Wisconsin and the National Federation of the Blind National Organization. NFB of Dane County members believe that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day NFB of Dane County members seek to raise the expectations of individuals who are blind throughout the Madison area, because low expectations create obstacles between people who are blind and our dreams.

In addition to supporting the national organization, which offers a wide range of services to individuals around the country, funds raised by the NFB of Dane County provide educational and social programs to benefit individuals who are bline in Dane County. Our programs seek to educate all individuals who are blind or visually impaired on topics such as availability of public transit, pedestrian safety issues and recreational opportunities.
